If i recall correctly they are talking about having a PCI PPC card
solution (not unlike the SharkPPC for mediator) which'll allow the machine
to become ZICO compliant...and hance run OS 4.2 and upwards.
of course, the CSPPC and CS_CV are out of the window then...perhaps sell
them, gt return for your investment?

no, the new OS is being made in a virtual computer environment.
they are using Promoetheus for the PCI stuff too ;-)

WHY do you think its a kludge? The *only* difference it has to a standard
m/b is a special port to allow an A1200 motherboard to attach to it -
which the BOARD then accesses as a PCI card! (clever method) once 4.2 is
out, it will run standalone (with adapter removed)
there wont be an A4000 amigaone. why? 1)lack of demand, 2) you'll only
need that special 'siamese' for the os4.0-4.2 time period, which'll be
very short. after that point you'll get rid of the A4000 motherboard.
now, getting rid of an a1200 motherboard, v's getting rid of an A4k
motherboard? which would you prefer to do?
you can BUY A1200 motherboards for 80 ukp brand new. or 30-50 ukp
secondhand (inside a full A1200 case...which you can reuse later when
os4.2 is out)
